Stuart (SJ) Gibson (b. 1978) is an artist and art educator whose works explore sentimentality and existential woes through a variety of media including photography, sculpture, drawing, screenprinting, performance and video. Gibson completed his undergraduate (BFA 2002) and graduate coursework (MFA 2007) at the University of Arizona and has worked in post secondary education since that time. His work has been shown nationally and internationally for over two decades and is included in numerous public and private collections. Gibson currently serves as an Academic Dean at Arizona Western College in Yuma, Arizona and has been in process of developing a suite of poems for the last 18 months and more recently a zine with the hopes of a small run publication of both in early 2025.
